Event Processing Platform
Event-Driven Solutions that Process Data in Real-Time
Proven in the most demanding of environments, the Progress® Apama® Event Processing Platform monitors rapidly moving event streams, detects and analyzes important patterns, and acts - in sub-millisecond time. With Apama, business events can be correlated and analyzed across multiple data streams in real-time, providing new levels of decision making that dramatically improves business precision.
While traditional architectures can respond to events after they have happened, Apama's event-driven architecture ensures real-time responsiveness to fast moving events of any kind, leveraging a platform that combines flexibility, performance and interoperability. Apama is unparalleled in its combination of analytic sophistication and performance. But Apama is far more than a mere event processing engine. With its sophisticated development tools, flexible testing environment, extensible integration framework and graphically-rich dashboards, Apama is a comprehensive event processing platform for building real-time, event-driven solutions.
Apama's rich Event Processing Language (EPL) is optimized for the concise expression of business and temporal logic. Available natively and in Java, it delivers the deepest range of Complex Event Processing (CEP) available to the market.
The Apama Event Processing Platform is a complete design and deployment environment for CEP applications. From graphical design tools to research and backtesting utilities, the Apama Event Processing Platform provides analysts, developers and administrators a full lifecycle design center that is optimized for CEP solutions.
- Unique graphical development tools accessible to business users.
- Concise, richly-featured event processing language.
- Sophisticated analytics with native support for temporal arguments.
- Sub-millisecond response to detected event patterns.
- Highly scalable, patented event-driven architecture, supporting tens of thousands of scenarios.
- Auto-generation of visually appealing user dashboards.
- Flexible event replay for testing new event scenarios and analyzing existing ones.
Apama Event Modeler provides a graphical environment that complements its event processing language by enabling business users to create and deploy event driven applications via an intuitive point-and-click definition of event logic. Development is further aided by SmartBlocks, an extensible set of pre-packaged modules, easily inserted and parameterized within Event Modeler.
Apama Dashboard Studio provides a set of tools to develop visually rich user interfaces. Via Apama dashboards, users can start/stop, parameterize and monitor event operations from both client and browser desktops.
Apama Research Studio accelerates the development/deployment cycle with pre-testing (via simulation) of event scenarios on event streams captured in Apama EventStore. It also supports sophisticated "digital forensics" via flexible event processing replay features.
Apama Event Manager offers compelling performance through its highly scalable correlation engines. With its patented event monitoring architecture, Apama delivers concurrent execution of thousands of discrete event scenarios with sub-millisecond responsiveness.
In addition to its packaged adapters and flexible integration framework, Apama Integration Adapter Framework (IAF) provides bi-directional connectivity to different event sources, messaging infrastructures and databases. IAF is complemented by a functionally-rich set of APIs for integration with customer-specific event data sources and application environments.
