Apama Event Driven Architecture
Event driven architecture within Apama creates unique advantages and solutions. Complex real-time applications present a new problem to the designer of distributed systems architecture. The characteristics—multiple streams of rapidly changing information and the need to make rapid decisions and take corresponding actions—can be characterized as a new type of application. Termed "event processing", "complex event processing" or "business event processing", this application type requires an architectural approach that differs from traditional applications.
Apama Correlator
Progress® Apama® Correlator provides sophisticated real-time execution of event processing scenarios. It delivers low latency analytics on multiple inbound data streams, monitoring the events for patterns identified within Apama scenarios.
Apama Studio
Progress® Apama® Studio is the design center for Apama solutions. Supporting the needs for analysts and developers, Apama Studio provides full lifecycle support for the design and deployment of complex event processing applications.
Dashboard Studio
Progress® Apama® Research Studio and EventStore provide sophisticated backtesting and analysis for the Progress Apama environment. They enable Apama users to investigate the likely behavior of Apama Scenarios prior to deployment, as well as analyze the actual performance of those Scenarios already in production.
Integration Framework
Progress® Apama® offers a robust integration framework with adapters for wide variety of event sources, including APIs for customization and integration within different application environments.
Apama Data Player
Progress® Apama® Data Player provide sophisticated backtesting and analysis for the Progress Apama environment. They enable Apama users to investigate the likely behavior of Apama Scenarios prior to deployment, as well as analyze the actual performance of those Scenarios already in production.
