WebClient Executables
The OpenEdge® WebClient™ is a 4GL GUI client that allows you deploy OpenEdge applications remotely--over the Web, intranet, extranet, WAN or LAN--and onto an end-user's machine. The WebClient lets end-users access a fully-functional OpenEdge multi-tier application through a rich, GUI interface. It runs as a freestanding, thin client on the end user's PC while executing 4GL code and communicating with the Progress AppServer™ remotely. The WebClient includes IntelliStream™ technology that automates the process of installing and updating deployed applications.

The OpenEdge WebClient is available for the 32-bit Windows® Intel® platform only, and is only licensed to operate in conjunction with additional OpenEdge products such as the OpenEdge Application Server. You must agree to the End User License Agreement (EULA) before downloading. Once downloaded, a serial number or a control code is not required for installation. The installation program will install the Progress WebClient directly to your client machine over the Internet, and will make the necessary changes to registry files. To begin the install, click "install now", read and accept the End User License Agreement, and then follow the installation instructions. To install the OpenEdge WebClient Executable, please select the appropriate version below. Read and accept the End User License Agreement, and then follow the installation instructions.

The following executables are available for download free of charge to existing OpenEdge customers with accounts on the Progress Download Center. If your company has current download access to their OpenEdge products, please register to be added to this account. You will need to provide a valid serial number and order number for any Progress product to register for addition to the account. If your company does not have download access to your OpenEdge products, please contact Sales Support to have an account created.
