Web Services
Save Even More Money with UDDI-based BP Web Services
Web Services is a vital part of Progress® Savvion BusinessManager because it allows an organization to publish their business processes as reusable services and to subscribe to other services, which in turn can become part of their processes. Once you've defined a process, you can use BPM Studio to publish it as a UDDI directory, where distributors can find and subscribe to it. And since the process is displayed, it can begin taking orders immediately. Subscribing to a service is simple too – it's just a matter of dragging and dropping a service from a directory to a flow diagram.

Figure: Web Services Allows BPM Integration
Our customers can instantly add automated Web service processes, such as order and quotation services, to their existing business processes applications and to publish their own business processes as services in the UDDI directory. Once you've published your Web services in the directory, you can conduct online transactions with internal teams or with other businesses. In addition, you can manage these extended processes through Savvion BusinessManager, our comprehensive BPM software suite, integrating your processes with those of other businesses to save you time and enhance productivity.
Industry Standards
One of the key benefits of Web Services is the underlying industry standards that enable them. We support the most current versions of XML Schema, SOAP and WSDL and even includes a fully functional UDDI directory with Savvion BusinessManager. In an effort to assure compatibility, Savvion BPM products recently received certification from Microsoft that Savvion BusinessManager is Microsoft .NET Connected certified.
