The Progress University Program is a worldwide program through which Progress products are distributed for free to colleges and universities in all regions of the world to foster non-funded research, teaching, and use by faculty and student populations. Progress Software and the University of Massachusetts at Boston (UMB) Software Engineering Research Lab (SERL) have teamed up to support colleges and universities around the globe with Progress technology. The program promotes educational opportunities that teach students about the use of advanced service-oriented architecture (SOA) infrastructure technologies.
